Frequently Asked Questions

How much does boarding cost?

Boarding is $50 per night for the first dog and $40 per night for each additional dog from the same household.

A $50 deposit is required to reserve your dog's stay. Your reservation is not confirmed until the deposit has been received, and the deposit is applied toward your final balance.

We proudly offer a 10% discount to active duty military, veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers as a small thank you for your service to our communities.

A $25 holiday surcharge applies during major holidays due to the additional time, care, and attention many dogs need during busy holiday periods.

We believe in simple, transparent pricing, so there are no hidden fees for the personalized care, nature walks, playtime, or photo updates that are included with every stay.

What vaccinations are required?

The health and safety of every guest is one of our highest priorities. To help provide a clean and healthy boarding environment, all dogs must be current on the following vaccinations before their stay:

Rabies

DHPP

Bordetella

Vaccination records must be uploaded through our pet portal before your reservation can be confirmed.

If your dog isn't currently up to date, we recommend scheduling an appointment with your veterinarian before requesting boarding. These requirements help protect not only your dog, but every guest staying with us.

We understand that every dog is unique. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, or simply adjusting to a new environment, we take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their stay.

How do I know if my dog is a good fit for Zaine's Stay & Play?

Most dogs do wonderfully in our home-based boarding environment, including many first-time boarders. It's completely normal for dogs to need a little time to adjust to new people, new surroundings, and a different routine.

The best boarding experience happens when dogs can comfortably coexist around people and other dogs, even if they don't interact directly. While group play isn't required, dogs should be able to settle between activities and feel comfortable relaxing in their own private suite.

Because we intentionally keep a small number of guests, every dog's experience matters. Honest information about your dog's personality, routines, fears, and behavior helps us determine if Zaine's Stay & Play is the right fit and allows us to provide the safest, most enjoyable stay possible for every guest.

Why choose Zaine's Stay & Play?

At Zaine's Stay & Play, we believe boarding should feel like a home away from home. We intentionally keep a small number of guests so every dog receives the time, attention, and individualized care they deserve.

Your dog won't be just another kennel number. They'll enjoy a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of outdoor time, mental enrichment, and one-on-one interaction throughout their stay.

As dog owners ourselves, we understand the trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. That's why we care for every guest as if they were one of our own.

When you're away, we'll treat your dog like family—so you can enjoy your time away knowing they're enjoying theirs.

What Should I Bring For My Dog’s Stay?

To help your dog feel comfortable and maintain their normal routine, please bring:

Your dog's food (pre-portioned if you'd like)

Any medications with clear instructions

A collar or harness

A leash

An optional comfort item, such as a blanket or T-shirt that smells like home

You're also welcome to bring your dog's favorite treats and toys. Toys are permitted as long as they can be safely left unattended with your dog.

If your dog has any special feeding instructions, medical needs, favorite routines, or preferences, please let us know before their stay. The more we know, the better we can make them feel right at home.
